Syneferine, a bioactive substance, is mainly extracted from fructus aurantii, orange peel, green peel and other rutaceae plants. It is an effective ingredient in Fructus aurantii, which plays an important role in Chinese medicine. It has the effects of strengthening heart, increasing blood output, constricting blood vessels, increasing left ventricular pressure and arterial blood pressure due to high total peripheral vascular resistance, anti-shock and weight loss. However, because its structure is similar to juteine, which has the potential side effects of excitating the central nervous system and causing cardiovascular diseases, its use has been restricted in the United States, Canada and other countries in recent years.
