Acetylhexapeptide-1 has an affinity for MC1-R, is a biomimetic peptide that mimics alpha-MSH, promotes melanin production by binding to MC1-R, and therefore acts as a natural photoprotective factor and inflammatory regulator. At the same time, it can also promote the transfer of melanin from melanocytes to keratinocytes, thus promoting the coloring of skin or hair (see related literature)
