Curcumin root extract: Tetrahydrocurcumin (THC), as the active and main metabolite of curcumin in the organism, is hydrogenated from curcumin isolated from the rhizome of Curcuma curcumae. Tetrahydrocurcumin is the main whitening active ingredient in the natural turmeric root extract, which not only has the strongest tyrosinase inhibition activity, but also has excellent chemical stability, and the appearance is odorless white powder, thus overcoming the defect that the common turmeric extract is chemically unstable and easy to cause skin staining. The common turmeric extract is yellow, with poor chemical stability and photosensitivity. Under light, it is easy to react with the skin and make the skin stain.

Efficacy and function: tetrahydrocurcumin is a natural functional whitening material with strong activity of inhibiting tyrosinase. Its whitening effect is better than that of arbutin, which is known to us. It can effectively inhibit the generation of oxygen free radicals and can eliminate the formed free radicals. It has obvious antioxidation, inhibition of melanin, repair and freckle removal, anti-inflammatory activity, and block the inflammatory process. In addition, the inhibition of free radicals, various inflammatory factors such as lipoxygenase, collagenase and hyaluronidase reflect the potential anti-aging effect of tetrahydrocurcumin.
